Suzanne serves as Counsel to King, Moench & Collins, based out of its Red Bank office. Suzanne possesses more than a decade of courtroom experience as a trial attorney handling both complex civil and criminallitigation across the private and public sectors. Suzanne’s unique expertise gives her clients a distinct strategic advantage because she approaches every case with the investigative rigor of an experienced criminal attorney and the sophisticated legal understanding of a top civil attorney.
Before joining the firm, Suzanne was a partner in the litigation group of a prominent North Jersey firm. There, she handled commercial, employment, civil rights, and criminal defense cases for individual and corporate clients in state and federal courts.
Prior to entering private practice, Suzanne was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. For five years, she served in the Major Crimes Unit. In that role, she was a trial prosecutor who tried homicide, fatal accident, and sexual assault cases to verdict. Suzanne’s deep investigative experience included coordinating over 100 Major Crimes investigations that often utilized novel forensic techniques and coordination with state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies. Suzanne also served as the Chief Legal Advisor to the North Jersey Regional Cold Case Task Force, supervising investigations of decades-old unsolved homicide and sexual assault cases in Bergen, Passaic, and Essex counties. Suzanne has significant appellate practice experience, having served in the prosecutor’s appellate bureau and having litigated and argued cases in both the Supreme Court of New Jersey and Superior Court, Appellate Division.
Following law school, Suzanne served as a law clerk in both the Supreme Court of New Jersey and Superior Court, Appellate Division. She clerked for the Hon. Mary Catherine Cuff during her assignment upon the Supreme Court of New Jersey and for the Hon. Carmen Messano, P.J.A.D., during his tenure as Chief Judge of the Superior Court, Appellate Division.
Suzanne is a member of the bars of New Jersey and New York. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from The College of New Jersey. While at Seton Hall, Suzanne received the Outstanding Contribution Award for her involvement in the Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic.
