In what the New Jersey Globe characterized as a “big win for election lawyer Matthew Moench,” the KMC Partner obtained the immediate removal of Atlantic City Councilman Muhammed “Anjum” Zia from his 5th Ward Seat for failing to meet the residency requirements contained in State law.

As explained in the news article:

Blee determined that Lacca’s attorney, Matthew Moench, proved by a preponderance of evidence that Zia “was not domiciled” in Atlantic City twelve months before the November 2023 election – or after.   He revoked Zia’s certificate of election.
